Abstract
Usually unsuitability of the environmental conditions for the production or quality control automation process at industrial areas make the applicability of the some present scientific algorithm and techniques impossible. For such conditions, usage of the combination of the interdisciplinary techniques has been offered as solution. At the laser interactive photogrammetric method developed at the optoelectronic laboratory of TUBITAK, various object types (cloth, ceramic, metal, plastics, etc.) could also be recognized from distant (1-3 meters) by the help of monochrome CCD camera pair and laser (YAG type). Primary disciplines comprising the system are photogrammetry (stereoscopic), spectrometry, display analysis (texture recognition) and spectral physics. Recognition of the object surfaces is performed by the obtaining of geometrical (surface gradient) and spectral (greyish tint, texture, etc.) data.
