Polyptych (audiovisual performance roBOt08)

Dirty Electronics, Jack Featherstone and Artists & Engineers are collaborating on a series of electronic musical art objects entitled Polyptych that will become the starting point for a performance event for roBOt08. Polyptych is a collection of four printed circuit boards where the design is distributed across multiple boards. The work explores electronic components, not only for functionality, but also their visual qualities, where components are laid out in graphical patterns. Circuit board production processes of coloured protective lacquers, copper traces, tin coatings and screen prints also inform the design. This visual language is also further explored in this audiovisual work through code and voltage control information for projected image.
