L’Identité de genre dans les oeuvres de George Sand et Colette

This book examines representations of femininity and masculinity in the works of French writers George Sand and Colette. Looking at the male and female characters as well as their relationships and dynamics, the study demonstrates how avant-garde representations of gender and as well as traces of contemporary theories of gender such as Butler's can be found in their fiction.
