Abstract

A literature review which seeks to identify the methods and effectiveness of mechanisms used by EU Member States in the management of serious violent or sexual offenders travelling across borders.

Description

A literature review mapping exercise of existing mechanisms utilised by law enforcement and judicial agencies across the European Union for the exchange of information on criminality issues of mutual interest. A contextual piece of work underpinning the SOMEC project objectives, which seek to examine improvements in information exchanges and the management of serious violent and sexual offenders who are travelling across EU borders.
