Abstract
This chapter explores the connections between the expansion of women's football during the period between 1917 and 1923 and calls for a separatist Women's Olympic Games, led by Alice Milliat. The Women's Olympic Games held between 1921 and 1934 were a key tool in the campaign to expand the IOC schedule for female competitors into more sports and disciplines.
