dc.description.abstractBetween 2010 and 2013, YCare International ran a three year pilot project called Gangs, Guns and Knives. With this funding, Y Care International has supported global youth work in 12 sites with 180 offenders or young people at risk of offending. Five of these sites worked with offenders in secure settings such as youth offender institutes while seven worked with young people in youth work settings. During the sessions, young people explored the causes and effects of gang, gun and knife crime both in the Global South and locally. This report represents the evaluation of the report by De Montfort University who produced a final report on the impact of a global youth work approach in addressing gang, gun and knife crimes.en
