dc.description.abstract | This a book review of ‘Dream Zones’, a refreshing book that captures the richness, brutality, contradictions, struggles and hopes that characterise contemporary India. It is an anthropological study of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh that has been at the forefront of neo-liberal reforms. It draws upon theoretical frameworks of uneven geographies of capitalism and politics of development in order to examine processes of industrialisation and development in the SEZ. | en |
