Abstract
This presentation details a two-year collaborative project between De Montfort University Leicester and Leicestershire Partnership Trust to set up an Open Mind project for LGBT people. The project is one of only two of its kind in the UK and it was established following an arson attack on two gay men having a drink in a pub garden in Leicester. Uniquely, the service allows self-referral so that service users do not need to diosclose their sexual orientation or gender identity to their GP in order to access therapeutic support.
