Abstract

Given the importance of food consumption over identity processes, we explore how young Zimbabwean immigrants in the U.K. consume and interpret, ethnic themed restaurant spaces and the impact on their identity projects. Findings indicate that the themed restaurant experience is significant in helping them to negotiate their sense of self.
