Abstract

Description

This substantial paper explores crucial links between language, culture, identity and learning through interaction. The paper presents cross-cultural data from China, Britain, Lebanon and Malaysia to show how students’ socio-cultural conceptions of ‘good’ teachers and students can differ widely.
