Abstract
This chapter looks at how different aspects of imperial identity were explored and developed through women's hockey and female racing motorists at Brooklands. Crucial to the imperial project was a degree of lavish hospitality, travel and movement. The chapter explores the lives of key women through their sporting interests and the remainder of their lives.
