Abstract

Description

Output reports use of various optimisation techniques to investigate the capacity to image the ill-posed problem of a 2-dimensional plane. The output led directly to the formulation of new electrode arrangements for Electrical Impedance Tomography and hence to funding from the Questor Lachesis fund, (LF2005/£250k) and further studies sponsored by the DTI “3D Visualisation of Combined Electrical Impedance Mammography and Ultrasonics for Breast Cancer Detection” (TP/6/ICT/6/S/K1517L/£387k) in collaboration with Diagnostic Sonar, Create-3D and XCess Electronics.
