Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death worldwide and a significant contributor to the rising cost of health care. Due to the growing patient population, existing healthcare systems are becoming increasingly burdened and unable to effectively manage the increased demand for health care services. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the design of a fuzzy logic-based system for a patient’s detection of heart disease risk at home. The system is implemented in the MATLAB software, using the fuzzy logic toolbox. This paper provides the technical description of the system and evaluates its performance. The dataset from the Framingham Heart Study was used for the system’s implementation.en
