Abstract
Description
As a direct result of this paper being published, Dr. Svetlana Komarova from McGill University in Montreal (one of the leading researchers in this field) made contact with De Montfort University to form a collaboration to study of the optimal control of bone remodelling. (svetlana.komarova@mcgill.ca ). This work is linked directly with research conducted under the DTI funded Direct Writing of Bioceramics project (TP/4/AMD/6/I/22300). The computational model of bone remodelling will be used to predict the performance of tissue engineering scaffolds and thus help to optimise their design.
