Abstract
The punishment, rehabilitation, reintegration and management of sex offenders, particularly sexual abusers against children, are high-profile issues for current crime policy. These issueshave been significant for most anglophone jurisdictions since at least the early 1990s, with more recent concerns in European countries such as Belgium (Dutroux case), France (Fourniret), Germany (Andreas L.) and the Netherlands (Robert M.)
