dc.description | A corrected proof of the paper available online since 24 May 2007. Output of collaboration between DMU, TsAGI, Russia and DERA/QinetiQ, UK in 1998-2004 (TsAGI Deputy Director Valeri Soukhanov flight15@tsagi.ru, DERA/QinetiQ Technical Manager Yoge Patel yoge@bbsr.co.uk). The previous version of this software was acquired by ADA/India (Program Director T G Pai tgpai@iitk.ac.in), DRA/UK. The software has been successfully applied and tested by shadowing QinetiQ flight clearance trials on weapons carriage on in-service aircraft in the UK: “…the results showed a high degree of correlation of off-line predictions of aircraft handling and performance with flight test data” (see AIAA-2003-5557 http://pdf.aiaa.org/preview/CDReadyMGNC03_664/PV2003_5557.pdf ). | en |
dc.description.abstract | A computational framework based on qualitative theory, parameter continuation and bifurcation analysis is outlined and illustrated by a number of examples for inertia-coupled roll maneuvers. The focus is on the accumulation of computed results in a special database and its incorporation into the investigation process. Ways to automate the investigation of aircraft nonlinear dynamics are considered. | |
