Young Citizens and the News

Abstract

This chapter maps the relationship between young citizens, the news, and the public sphere, exploring what role news has in young people's lives. Using audience research in Cardiff, Glasgow, Coleraine and Bournemouth, the chapter discusses the importance of including children's voices, particularly if we want to create a strong democracy and public sphere in the future.
