This is work presented in a gallery setting, not in the technical lab as is so often the case for holography. It offered both technical rigour (in as much that each piece performed flawlessly and to its optimum) and as an aesthetic experience. The extreme reality of holograms challenges our understanding of what we mean by "real" yet their essential ambiguity is as unsettling as their verisimilitude is reassuring in a post-McLuhan age of "virtual reality", "reality TV" spectacles and "celebrities”. Educational workshops which were run daily and members of the public were given the chance to see a hologram being made, some even producing their own. This was sponsored by the Peterborough Council Educational Department. A touring exhibition of Digital Prints, 3-D Artworks, Holograms, Lenticular and Film, with accompanying 24p catalogue which includes CD-ROM and 3D anaglyphic glasses. Holographic Installation with projected interactive films. 20 large format Digital Prints size 300cm x 200cm mounted onto clear Perspex for wall hanging. Four Apple Mac computers for interactive audience participation to DVD and three-dimensional graphics Exhibition Sponsored by Peterborough City Council / Arts Council of England (lottery Funded)en
