    Abstract
As an organisation which recognises the key role of technology in achieving our goals, The Post Office welcomes the opportunity to become involved with the Advances in Social Responsibility in the Information Age series of seminars. Our participation has led to a greater understanding of the issues and has also enabled us to provide insight into some of the practical challenges involved in addressing such issues in corporate life. This report forms a key part of the ongoing research into the social and ethical implications of the use of technology. The results of this research will support organisations in their drive to understand these implications and the impact they have on customers, employees and the wider community.
