Abstract
Description
This jointly-authored article develops the arguments of the Connexions Impact Study (DfES Research Report 607) to make it accessible for practitioners, service providers and policy makers. It explores key conceptual themes underlying the development of Connexions; and it identifies the importance of building trust and appropriate responses to young people’s orientations. It also draws attention to the multi-faceted nature of impact and the concept of ‘impact leakage’. This is an important finding for those involved in policy review and development. There was equal contribution from both authors to this paper.
