    Abstract
    George Geary, a Leicestershire County Cricket Club all-rounder was one of the most widely travelled cricketers of his day. He went on to coach at Charterhouse, including among other people, the future England captain Peter May. Geary was awarded a Carthusian 'old school tie' in recognition of the affection with which he was held at the school. He also coached at Rugby.
